✿3rd entry is up! Role of Computer, Search Engine&CMC✿






Today i have learnt useful knowledge and i want to share it with all of you. Madam Azidatun had taught us a lot. We have learnt about the role of computer in communicative approach. There are three types which are computer as tutor, computer as stimulus and computer as tool.  

Computer as tutor- computer is used to teach the learner 
Computer as stimulus- computer is use to stimulate the learner in various aspects 
                                      (writing, critical thinking and discussion)
Computer as tool- to use certain software and understand language (publisher, Word processor and Excel spreadsheet)
                 
Furthermore, i also learnt a lot of information about search engines and online database. Search engine is a software system that is designed to carry out web search which means it enables people to search the wold wide web in a systematic way. There are 4 parts of search engine namely Database, Web Crawler or Spider, User Interface and Information Retrieval System (IRS)

Next is CMC. CMC stands for Computer Mediated Communication. CMC is any form communication or interaction between two or more people via separate computers through network communication or in other words CMC is a process through that people can interact, exhcange, perceive information, culture, thought, idea, history, knowledge, mores and social issues with each other via computer networking by tools E-mails, blog, Wikis, Chat rooms, audio and video conferencing without considering various perspectives of CMS in studies. 

There are two types of CMC which are asynchronous cmc and synchronous cmc. As for asynchronous cmc, communication is not synchronised. Furthermore, messages are not exchanged and replied to immediately. For example, emails, forum and message boards as well as blogs. 

Next, synchronous cmc. Communication between participants is synchronised. Messages can be exchanged and replied to immediately. It also allows for direct communication. For instance, internet chat rooms, messenger, video or audio conferencing. In our class, Madam Azidatun had showed us on how to use Google Doc for Collaborative learning and it was such an amusement. We tried to fill our group information and it was so effective and everyone was excited using it. I am looking forward to use Google Doc in future for my discussion or a group assignment because it is really helpful. After all, this week was very hectic yet fun!

Assalamulaikum guys! I am back again! Today i am going to share about "powtoon". Powtoon is a world leading visual communication platform that enales anyone from newbie to professional to create professional looking, engaging video and presentation in 20 minutes or less!  My lecturer had instructed us to give a try on powtoon! ✿ 8th entry: Explanatory Video✿

Hello everyone! This week, we were given a task which is to create an explanatory video using powtoon. The duration of the video is about 2-3 minutes. This task is in a group of 3 to 4 students for each group. The topic for the video is our own choice and we have chose "time out from your mobile phone". Then, we need to write down our topic on google doc that was provided and our topic was approved by Madam Azidatun. After that, we had a great discussion whereby we have discussed about the theme and the explanations that need to be included in our video. They have chose me as a voice for the video. We have agreed to only have 1 voice as a narrator because during consultation Madam Azida had told and suggested us that  1 voice as a narrator that tells the whole story is nice.  Once we had done with the script, we went for a consultation with our lecturer and the script was approved. Now, we currently working to create the video and it is still on progress so stay tuned...
